Cygnet Primary School is located in the township of Cygnet on the picturesque Huon River, 55 kilometres south of Hobart. A diverse community, the town is the centre of the fruit growing Huon Valley where apple, cherry and berry orchards are plenty. Popular among artists, musicians and those looking for healthy and/or alternative lifestyles, the town is home to many eateries, art studios and craft shops.

Cygnet Primary School caters for Kindergarten – Year 6 students with a population a little more than 200. The school has excellent facilities including appealing and comfortable classrooms, a warm and inviting library, designated spaces for the visual arts and music, a gymnasium and expansive play areas.
